The last month was full of excitement and festivities, what with Christmas & New Year celebrations and the start of  end of season sales. Everyone could be seen resplendent in their Red & Green finery to celebrate Christmas and bid adieu to 2017. As we enter 2018, we still have a number of festivals and national events to look forward to... And to dress up for! Punjabis are looking forward to Lohri celebrations, Gujaratis are all set for Makar Sankranti , Hindus are preparing for Vasant Panchmi puja, Tamilians are geared up for Pongol, and the list goes on. While all these regional festivals bring a lot of fun, frolic and a bank holiday in each respective region, Republic Day is the first holiday of the year that the nation celebrates together.
